09:19 AM EDT, 10/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Veidekke (VEI.OL) won a contract to build a mixed-use development in Oslo, Norway, for Thon Eiendom, a division of Norwegian real estate and hotel group Thon Gruppen. The Norwegian construction company said Friday that the project is worth 745 million Norwegian kroner and will include 98 rental apartments as well as office space, retail units and green areas across a 30,000-square-metre site. Demolition of existing structures will begin in November, with construction set to start in April 2027 and completion by August 2029. Veidekke will add the contract to its order backlog for the fourth quarter of 2026.
