Sika just dropped its Q3 2026 numbers and the story is all about margins, not headlines. The stock closed at CHF180.20 on the day of the release after a weak few weeks, even as earnings from continuing operations over the last twelve months sat above CHF1.0b on revenue of more than CHF11.3b. Profitability has eased with net margins at 9.4%, lower than a year ago, and that squeeze is where market emotion is colliding with the actual report.

Earnings show what Sika recorded for the quarter, but investors who focus on valuation usually give more attention to the cash that actually flows through the business over time.
When you compare Sika's cash flows with its current share price, the stock could be a whopping 41% undervalued.
Bulls argue Sika can turn its efficiency push, data center work and M&A into structurally stronger cash generation and profitability. That ambition is captured in this claim.
"The main factor that has to go right is that Sika continues to turn its digitalization, cost savings, Akkim and other bolt-on acquisitions, and Asia restructuring into durable cash generation above 10% of net sales, while managing FX, margin guidance pressure, and regulatory risk."
Recent numbers show Sika holding operating free cash flow at or above the 10% of sales goal and lifting EBITDA margin to 19.2%. Fast Forward savings of around CHF8m per month and reaffirmed cash conversion targets indicate this part of the thesis is on track, even as net margin sits at 9.4% and EPS is flat on a trailing basis.

Bears worry that Sika’s cost inflation and regulatory exposure will swallow most of the efficiency gains and leave profitability stuck near the low end of guidance.
"While the Fast Forward savings program is progressing toward CHF 80m of efficiencies in 2026, higher transportation and supply chain costs, as well as mix effects from pricing versus volumes, risk absorbing much of this benefit."
The latest print partially validates that concern. EBITDA margin sits at 19.2%, only slightly above the 19.0 to 19.5% band, with transport and FX still biting. Fast Forward savings are flowing at roughly CHF8m per month, yet net margin at 9.4% and broadly flat EPS show limited drop through so far.
Sika reported strong cash conversion, while margins and the share price were more muted. The real opportunity is finding stocks that could be undervalued before the market corrects them.
