On the evening of October 23, local time, Brazil's current president, Labor Party candidate Lula, and Liberal Party candidate Flavio Bosonaro, son of former President Jair Bosonaro, held the last televised debate before the second round of voting in Brazil's presidential election. The two sides focused on issues such as the cost of living, minimum wage, public safety, and infrastructure investment. During the debate, Lula asked Bosonaro to apologize to him for calling him “nine fingers.” Lula said that he had lost a finger at work and that Bosonaro “hasn't actually worked for a day.” Bosonaro, on the other hand, asked that he could apologize to Lula for this incident, but did Lula intend to apologize to the homeless who doubled during his administration? Lula responded that Brazil's elite should apologize for the country's historical problems.
