According to Woofun AI, there was a sharp divergence in the flow of funds in the US spot ETF market in the fourth week of October. Bitcoin ETFs reversed the decline with inflows of $400 million, while Ethereum ETH was sold off for four consecutive weeks. Statistics released by SosoValue on the 26th revealed this structural reversal.
According to data compiled by Woofun AI, the net inflow of BTC ETF last week was 4042.67 million US dollars (584.8 billion won), which changed from negative to positive compared to the previous week's net outflow of 228.58 million US dollars (302 billion won). Looking back at the full month of October, the BTC ETF experienced sharp fluctuations: an inflow of $241.09 million (3 trillion 171.8 billion won) in the first week, a sharp outflow of $681.1 million (899.7 billion won) in the second week, and continued to outflow of $228.58 million in the third week. Despite the return in the fourth week, a net outflow of $174.5 million was recorded for the full month. Compared with strong net inflows of $3.5 billion (4 trillion won 627 billion won) in August and $2.6 billion (3 trillion 437.2 billion won) in September, October's performance was significantly weaker.
Meanwhile, the ZEC ETF stopped falling last week with a net inflow of $41.09 million (54.3 billion won) after three weeks of outflows. Previously, there were weekly inflows of $98.21 million (129.7 billion won) from mid-September to September 18, but the first three weeks of October had outflows of US$93.56 million (123.3 billion won), US$30.72 million (40.6 billion won), and US$19.15 million (25.3 billion won), with a cumulative net outflow of US$63.97 million (84.5 billion won) for the full month.
The Ethereum ETH and SOL ETFs continue to be under pressure. The ETH ETF had an outflow of 224.96 million US dollars (297.2 billion won) last week, which was lower than the previous week's 300 million 1997 million US dollars (422.7 billion won), but it has been a net outflow for four consecutive weeks. The first week of October had outflows of US$138.2 million, the second week was US$542.07 million, and the third week was US$3007.97 million. The cumulative net outflow for the whole month reached 1,2502 million US dollars (1 trillion 618.3 billion won).
This is in stark contrast to the net inflows of $1.8 billion (2 trillion 379.6 billion won) in August and $800 million (1 trillion 57.6 billion won) in September. The SOL ETF also had a net outflow for three consecutive weeks, with an outflow of 17.3 million US dollars (22.9 billion won) last week, down from 25.52 million US dollars (33.7 billion won) the previous week. The second week of October had an outflow of 24.81 million US dollars, the third week of 25.52 million US dollars, and a cumulative net outflow of 72.24 million US dollars (95.5 billion won) in the last month.
Overall, the total net market inflow last week was US$241.5 million (319 billion won), a reversal from the previous week's net outflow of US$509.22 million (783.6 billion won). Among them, the total inflow of BTC and ZEC was 4083.76 million US dollars (639 billion won), and BTC accounted for 91.5%. The inflow scale was sufficient to offset the outflow of ETH and SOL and drive the overall correction of the market.
At the price level, CoinMarketCap's 26th data showed that BTC fell 0.74% to $80,131, ETH fell 1.65% to $2323, SOL fell 1.07% to $101, and ZEC fell 0.74% to $1205.
Despite the general decline in prices, the divergence in capital flows indicates that institutional willingness to allocate BTC is still strong, while risk aversion towards ETH and SOL continues to heat up. This is another structural adjustment characteristic of the market following large-scale inflows in September, which suggests that capital is re-evaluating the risk-return ratio of different crypto assets.
