Zhitong Finance App learned that Johnson Electric Holdings (00179) fell more than 3% at the end of the session. As of press release, it was down 3.37% to HK$13.17, with a turnover of HK$55,5033 million.
According to the news, Johnson Electric Holdings recently released an earnings forecast. CICC Research reports that the company expects the profit to be shared by shareholders in the first half of FY27 to US$50 million to US$58 million, a year-on-year decrease of 56%-62%, while revenue is roughly the same as the same period last year. The bank believes that of the profit gap, about US$49 million to US$55 million comes from foreign exchange-related effects. 1H27's revenue was in line with market expectations, and profit was lower than market expectations, mainly due to exchange losses.
CICC continued that with the expansion of new business and diversification of main customers, the company's revenue is expected to rise steadily, and profitability is still under pressure. In the past, the automotive product group accounted for more than 80% of the company's revenue. In FY27, Q1 automotive business revenue increased by only 2% year-on-year, reflecting that global automobile demand, changes in customer structure, and price competition still limited the growth of the main business. Looking ahead to the second half of the year, the main business's profit recovery mainly depends on price adjustments, the speed of implementation of raw material cost transmission, and the progress of customer structure transformation, and profitability may still be under pressure.
