Six departments including the Shanghai Economic and Information Technology Commission issued the “Shanghai Satellite Internet Industry Innovation and Development Action Plan”. Among them, it is indicated to promote the application of TOC services for the benefit of the people. Individual users can connect directly to the satellite Internet through mobile phones or portable terminals to provide low-cost, high-speed Internet access services for blind spots in terrestrial communication. Support operators to launch preferential packages for satellite Internet services, reduce user usage costs, continue to cultivate and develop potential users, promote the transformation of satellite connections from “special equipment” to “ordinary services” for mass consumption, and achieve ubiquitous connectivity.
