Subject to regulatory approval and applicable market requirements, the certification would enable Bimergen, through Emergen Commodities, to supply electricity directly to qualifying data center customers in Texas.
Supplying electricity to large data center customers could generate substantial revenue for Emergen Commodities and its parent company, Bimergen Energy. The significant and ongoing electricity requirements of these facilities present an opportunity to establish recurring revenue streams through customer supply agreements.
Texas’ Option 2 certification provides a pathway to serve specifically identified customers contracting for at least one megawatt of capacity. Subject to regulatory approval and applicable market requirements, the certification would establish a foundation for Emergen Commodities to participate in this segment of the Texas retail electricity market.
In parallel with the regulatory process, Bimergen is working with multiple counterparties to provide credit support for large data center loads. These efforts are intended to support the electricity supply arrangements needed to serve customers with substantial power requirements and advance Bimergen’s proposed retail electricity business.
Bimergen’s broader strategy focuses on advancing battery energy storage projects through development, technology partnerships, and collaboration with capital providers. The proposed retail electricity capability would complement that strategy by expanding the ways Bimergen participates in the energy market and connects its infrastructure expertise with electricity needs.
Emergen Commodities filed its application with the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) on October 5, 2026, under Docket No. 60368. The application is currently under regulatory review and remains subject to PUCT approval.
