LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y. (AP) — LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y. (AP) — JetBlue Airways Corp. (JBLU) on Monday reported a loss of $257 million in its third quarter.

The Long Island City, New York-based company said it had a loss of 68 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 60 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 55 cents per share.

The airline posted revenue of $2.81 billion in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.83 billion.
