According to the Zhitong Finance App, China Gold International (02099) issued an announcement that the company's Changshanchou Gold Mine (Changshan Hou Mine) has resumed mining operations and reaffirmed the annual production guidelines for the Changshan Trench Mine.

As disclosed in the announcements issued by the Company on May 27 and August 17, 2026, respectively, a partial slope instability incident occurred at the Changshan Trench Mine on May 22, 2026. There were no injuries or equipment damage as a result of the incident. In order to ensure safety, open pit mining operations have been suspended at the Changshan Trench Mine, while the beneficiation operation uses existing low-grade ore stocks to maintain operation. Since then, the company has organized external geotechnical engineering experts and professional institutions to carry out geotechnical evaluation and treatment plan design.

At the end of September 2026, the Changshan Trench Mine completed the key phased treatment works required to resume mining operations. These projects include restoring the quarry road system, completing the clean-up of false and dangerous rock masses and landslide reinforcement, and installing drainage interception systems. Slope monitoring continued during this period.

After entrusting a third party professional agency to carry out an evaluation of the effectiveness of hidden hazard treatment, the hidden slope geological hazard hazards affecting mining operations have been rectified and have complied with the safety standards required by laws and regulations to resume normal mining operations. After the filing was submitted to the emergency management department, mining operations resumed according to the plan in early October 2026.

While open pit mining is suspended, the Changshan Trench Mine continues to process existing stocks of low-grade ore, which helps mitigate the impact on gold production. With the full resumption of open pit mining, the Changshan Trench Mine will continue to implement safety risk management and control measures and optimize the distribution of newly excavated ore and stored ore to maintain stable mineral supply and processing quality, and support flexible and efficient production scheduling for the rest of the year.

Based on the completion of key phased treatment projects and the resumption of open pit mining operations, the company is confident of maintaining a stable production trajectory. The company will continue to closely monitor the Nagareyama Trench Mine site operation status and follow-up project progress, and will provide further updates in due course.
