The Zhitong Finance App learned that China Building Materials (03323) fell by more than 2%. As of press release, it fell 2.26% to HK$2.81, with a turnover of HK$62.6333 million.

According to the news, China Building Materials recently announced that from January to September 2026, total operating revenue was 129.885 billion yuan, down 2.6% year on year; net loss attributable to owners of the parent company was 728 million yuan, and profit for the same period last year was 2.96 billion yuan.

Huatai Securities pointed out that China Building Materials' comprehensive gross profit margin for the first three quarters of 26 was 18.1%, -2.8 pct year on year, mainly due to the year-on-month decline in ASP in basic building materials businesses such as cement, clinker, concrete, and aggregate. Although the company made efforts to reduce costs and increase efficiency to achieve a decrease in unit costs, it was still unable to make up for the decline on the price side. The basic building materials business was under pressure, resulting in the company's total profit of -71.1% year-on-year to 2.34 billion yuan in the first three quarters; in addition, due to the company's large new materials business concentrated in non-wholly-owned subsidiaries, income tax expenses/minority shareholder income of 15.4/1.53 billion yuan, which was basically flat/ -57.7% year over year. The decline was less than the decline in total profit, which dragged down the loss of net profit to mother.
