The Zhitong Finance App learned that Bernstein released a research report stating that it will maintain the “outperform the market” rating and the target price of HK$526 for Collumbotai Bio-B (06990). The bank pointed out that the OptiTrop-Lung06 and OptiTrop-Lung04 lung cancer research results announced by the company during the European Society of Medical Oncology Annual Meeting (ESMO) have made positive progress. Both studies have shown significant survival benefits, further improving the prospects of the TROP2 ADC drug developed in collaboration with Collumbott and MSD in global clinical trials.
The OptiTrop-Lung06 study targeted patients with first-line PD-L1 negative non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer. When the median follow-up time was 9.7 months, the median progression-free survival (PFS) of the SAC-TMT plus Keytruda treatment group reached 15 months, which was better than 5.7 months in the Keytruda combination chemotherapy group, and the risk of disease progression was reduced by 51% (PFS HR 0.49, p<0.0001). Overall survival (OS) data are not mature, but the results clearly favor the sAC-TMT combination treatment group, with an HR of 0.58.
In terms of safety, there were few adverse events associated with grade 3 or above treatment in the SAC-TMT combination treatment group, and adverse events of particular concern such as stomatitis and interstitial lung disease were generally manageable. Combining the positive results of OptiTrop-Lung05 in first-line PD-L1 positive non-small cell lung cancer patients, the bank believes that the Lung06 study further strengthened the potential of sAC-TMT to cover patients with all PD-L1 expression levels and expanded its commercial opportunities to enter the first-line lung cancer treatment market.
The OptiTrop-Lung04 study targeted patients with non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer who failed EGFR-TKI treatment. The final overall survival analysis showed that after 32.3 months of median follow-up, the median overall survival of the sAC-TMT treatment group reached 25.9 months, which was higher than 17.4 months in the platinum chemotherapy group. The survival period was increased by 8.5 months. The final OS HR was 0.69, which is statistically significant.
Bernstein believes that SAC-TMT can still bring substantial survival benefits without additional chemotherapy backbone, which is an important differentiating advantage in the Chinese market, and also provides a solid clinical foundation for MSD's ongoing global phase III trofuse-009 trial.
