05:27 AM EDT, 10/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- GSK (GSK.L) expects to nearly double its existing clinical-stage cancer drug portfolio of 15 assets in 2027, following a series of acquisitions and licensing deals, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday. In an interview with the news agency, GSK Senior Vice President and Global Head of Oncology, Research & Development Hesham Abdullah said the British drugmaker is fast-tracking its return to oncology, with five currently approved cancer treatments and a potential sixth therapy nearing approval in a few weeks. GSK could also have 19 to 20 late-stage cancer studies in 2027, Abdullah added.
