KUALA LUMPUR: Betamek Bhd said its wholly-owned subsidiary Betamek Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd has extended its Supplier Competitiveness Level (SCL) level 5 certification from 2026 to 2028 following a reassessment by the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii).

The group, which achieved SCL Level 5 in 2024, said the certification confirms its continued alignment with internationally recognised operational and manufacturing standards. 

Level 5 is the highest rating in the benchmarking programme designed to evaluate automotive suppliers across multiple areas of business performance.

"The renewal reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and reinforces our focus on delivering the quality, reliability and technological capabilities required by the evolving automotive industry. 

"As vehicle technologies become increasingly sophisticated, we remain focused on strengthening our capabilities to support our customers’ long-term growth and requirements,” said executive director Muhammad Fauzi Abd Ghani in a statement.
