La Liga said: La Liga deeply regrets the offense and harm caused by Killian Mbappe's recent remarks to the Chinese fans. The relevant remarks are personal expressions of the players and do not in any way represent La Liga's position. As the governing body of the league, within the scope of our responsibilities, La Liga would like to express our sincere apologies to the Chinese fans on behalf of the league and all of its clubs. Spanish football has always upheld the concept of respect and harmonious coexistence, and is committed to promoting unity among people from different cultural backgrounds. We have always had deep respect for China, all relevant organizations and the Chinese people, and we also greatly value the attention and support that millions of Chinese fans give us every week. We hereby reaffirm that we will continue to cherish and maintain the deep relationship we have established with China over the years. Currently, La Liga is working with Chinese partners and relevant agencies to properly handle this incident. Furthermore, we will work with clubs and players to establish and implement cultural awareness and communication standards, further promote understanding and respect for different cultures, and strive to prevent similar situations from happening again.
