07:31 AM EDT, 10/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Shares in the United Arab Emirates closed higher as investors weighed the latest corporate earnings against ongoing geopolitical developments. At the close of Tuesday trading, the FTSE ADX General Index added 1.089%, while the DFM General Index gained 1.96%. With earnings season in full swing, Aldar Properties (ADX:ALDAR) reported higher attributable profit of 1.91 billion Emirati dirhams in the third quarter, supported by a 16% year-over-year growth in revenue. Meanwhile, Adnoc Drilling's (ADX:ADNOCDRILL) attributable profit for the quarter declined amid expected lower unconventional phasing and repurposing of certain land rigs. Both Aldar Properties and Adnoc Drilling ended the session 1.06% and 0.52% higher, respectively. Dubai Investments (DFM:DIC) unit DIP Holding set the per-share price range for its Dubai IPO between 1.10 dirhams and 1.15 dirhams, implying a market capitalization of 9.5 billion dirhams to 10 billion dirhams. Dubai Investments shares ended 1.37% higher. In other news, Dubai Chambers unveiled the Chamber AI Hub, a chamber-led Agentic AI marketplace to enable local companies to adopt agentic AI automation across compliance, procurement, operations, finance, sales, human resources, and logistics. Across the pond, markets await the US Federal Reserve's monetary policy decision on Wednesday, with analysts expecting a rate hold. "Despite a notable pickup in both consumer and producer prices in the latest September report, a number of Fed officials have urged the Committee to take a more cautious and patient approach to any additional rate hikes. While the majority of officials still support some further policy firming, most also appear to support a slow or more tepid pace of adjustments," Stifel commented. "Originally pricing in an October hike at 71% as of September 28, now the likelihood of a second round in hike this week has dropped to just 9%."
