07:38 AM EDT, 10/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- UBS Global Research expects Danone (BN.PA) to see a sequential slowdown in like-for-like sales growth in the third quarter, when it releases its latest trading update on Wednesday. "For Q3, we forecast LFL sales growth of +3.8% (slightly below VA consensus of +4.0%), slowing vs the +4.2% posted in Q2 - the sequential slowdown mostly reflecting normalisation in Middle East Specialised Nutrition (inventory rebuild in Q2), Indonesia Waters (marked Q2 rebound post Q1 floods) and the deconsolidation of Argentina from Aug 1st (Argentina was a +30bps contribution to group's LFL)," analysts said in an earnings preview note on Monday. On a reported basis, third-quarter sales are projected to increase 4.5% to 7.19 billion euros, against the consensus of 7.24 billion euros, with turnover anticipated to be impacted by currency movements and acquisitions. For full-year 2026, the research firm expects the French food products company to reaffirm its like-for-like sales growth guidance of 3% to 5%, with recurring operating income growth surpassing sales.
