10:18 AM EDT, 10/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Deutsche Lufthansa's (LHA.F) Swiss laid out plans to fly more of its summer 2027 schedule with its own aircraft and crews, according to a Tuesday release. The Switzerland-based carrier plans to reduce its reliance on aircraft and crews from other airlines, cutting its so-called wet lease arrangements to 18 from 26. One contributing factor is that Swiss will once again operate additional Airbus (AIR.PA, AIR.F) A320 aircraft itself. Swiss also intends to narrow its partner list and is ending its cooperation with airBaltic when the 2026/2027 winter timetable period concludes. It will meanwhile further expand its long-standing partnership with Helvetic Airways.
