An affiliate of Hathaway Development has started work on The Exchange at Wyle Oaks, a 325-unit apartment community is Apopka, near Orlando. The project is one of the first at the 215-acre Wyld Oak mixed-use project.

Financing for the approximately $71 million development includes a $47 million construction loan from Ameris Bank and $22 million in equity from Carlyle Realty Partners X. The developer paid $13 million for the 11-acre parcel.

Wyld Oaks is planned to include residential neighborhoods, retail and restaurant space, hospitality uses, healthcare facilities, medical and professional office space, educational uses, parks, trails, entertainment venues, and approximately 1.5 million square feet of industrial space.

The apartment project is scheduled to be completed by summer 2028. Leasing for market-rate units ranging from 741 to 1,307 square feet is expected to begin within 9 to 12 months. Amenities will include a fitness center, dog park, clubhouse and pool.
