11:31 AM EDT, 10/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BofA Global Research upgraded its rating on Sampo (SAMPO.HE) to buy from neutral, saying the Nordic property and casualty insurer offers a "solid" multiyear margin story at an "attractive" valuation. "Recent share price weakness gives good entry to a defensive Nordic player, in our view, with op EPS CAGR of +12% (2025-28e) supported by continued Nordic margin support and improving pricing conditions in the UK. We expect Sampo to return c.19% of market cap over 2026-28e. We think 3Q26 may see negative markets and one-offs impact, but the multi-year margin expansion is in sight," analysts wrote in a Tuesday note. The research firm bumped up the stock's price objective to 11 euros from 10.10 euros, with an implied 23% total return potential. Meanwhile, the EPS forecast for 2026 was cut by 12%, mainly due to weaker financial results assumptions. For 2027 and 2028, BofA lifted its EPS estimates by 3% and 4%, respectively, expecting an improvement in UK margins.
