Coca-Cola just reported Q3 2026 and the headline is clear. Comparable earnings per share landed at US$0.91 and organic revenue grew 7% while margins widened. Yet the stock slipped about 1.6% to US$91.18 by the close.
That pullback reflects mood, not meltdown. Investors focused on the softer share price move while the business printed fatter profitability, including higher gross and operating margins, along with a raised free cash flow outlook of at least US$13b for 2026.

The bullish story says Coca-Cola can turn its toolkit into better mix and steady growth rather than just one good quarter.
"The main thing that has to go right is that Coca-Cola continues to convert its global scale, AI-enabled digital tools and portfolio of billion-dollar brands into sustained volume and price/mix balance while managing pressures such as GLP-1 weight-loss drug adoption, divestiture headwinds and affordability investments in markets like India and China."
Q3 volume rose 5% and organic revenue increased 7% with higher gross and operating margins. Price/mix was only 1%, held back by mix, yet guidance now points to at least 5% organic revenue and at least 11% comparable EPS growth for 2026. That combination supports the idea that scale and brands are translating into healthier economics so far.
On the risk side, the question is whether health, GLP 1 and refranchising are already biting into the engine that just drove a Q3 beat.
"Divestitures, including the refranchising of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa and any similar future actions, are expected to be a 2% to 3% headwind to comparable net revenues and about a 1% headwind to comparable EPS for 2026, and if the benefits to efficiency and margins do not offset this drag, the result could be weaker earnings than implied in the current narrative."
Management reaffirmed that CCBA refranchising drags revenue and EPS in 2026, yet comparable margins expanded and full year EPS and free cash flow guidance moved higher. Unit case volume increased 5% despite GLP 1 concerns. That points to these pressures showing up mechanically in guidance, but not yet overturning the earnings story in the reported numbers.
