Listen to the news

Key Points

  • Third-quarter revenue reached $7.94 billion, up 19% year over year.

  • Third-quarter net income increased 44% year over year to $847.5 million.

  • PACCAR Parts generated $1.78 billion in third-quarter revenue.

On its third-quarter 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 27, 2026, PACCAR (NASDAQ:PCAR) reported revenue of $7.94 billion and net income of $847.5 million, marking 19% revenue growth and 44% profit growth compared to the prior-year period. PACCAR Parts, the company's aftermarket component division, generated record quarterly revenues of $1.78 billion as the truck maker expands higher-margin software and service solutions.

Three things management said stand out.

1. PACCAR Connect Creates New Recurring Revenue Streams

Management launched PACCAR Connect, a connected vehicle technology platform that integrates fleet telematics (remote vehicle tracking), electronic driver logs, and factory applications. The integrated system provides the company with a direct digital link to customer fleets while creating opportunities to sell proprietary software subscriptions.

This system will serve as a unifying platform that will enhance customer productivity and create new revenue streams for PACCAR.
-- Kevin D. Baney, President

2. Financial Services and Parts Provide Foundational Profitability

High diesel prices and elevated operating costs led fleet operators to defer major capital expenditures and focus on essential truck maintenance during the quarter. PACCAR Financial Services, the company's internal financing unit that provides vehicle loans and leases, generated $138 million in pre-tax income by maintaining stable finance margins and strong used truck resale values.

Similar to PACCAR Parts, PACCAR Financial provides steady foundational profitability during all phases of the business cycle.

3. Supplier Bottlenecks Shift Delivery Growth Into the Fourth Quarter

Supply chain constraints restricted third-quarter deliveries to 40,100 heavy-duty Class 8 trucks (commercial vehicles over 33,000 pounds). Management expects deliveries to rise to between 41,000 and 43,000 trucks in the fourth quarter.

Delivery volume will increase in the fourth quarter as suppliers become more able to ramp up their production to meet continued strong customer demand.
-- Preston Feight, Chief Executive Officer

Looking Ahead

Customer demand for heavy-duty trucks remains active across North America and Europe, driving positive projections for the coming quarters.

We look forward to a strong finish to this year. And another very good year in 2027 as our customers benefit from PACCAR's excellent trucks, and new transportation solutions.
-- Preston Feight, Chief Executive Officer

The company's premium brand positioning, global dealer network, and growing aftermarket parts business provide structural advantages as leadership monitors supplier manufacturing capacity and pending 2027 emissions rules.

So I think our general sense is the uncertainty will dissipate and the market will become stronger as the year passes.
-- Preston Feight, Chief Executive Officer
