US President Donald Trump said he will soon arrange a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to end the conflict, which has entered its fifth year. Trump told reporters after returning from Texas earlier on Wednesday that I think we are making great progress on the Russia-Ukraine issue. He hosted two midterm election campaign rallies in Texas. He added that a meeting between President Putin and President Zelensky will be arranged soon. When asked when this summit might be held, he said it should be soon. At the same time, he said that things don't necessarily need to be done through meetings. The president gave no further details. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff accompanied Trump to Texas. Trump said they discussed the Russian-Ukrainian situation and the war in Iran.
