According to the news, Citi released a research report saying that according to industry sources, Macau's gaming revenue is expected to reach about 17.65 billion patacas on the first 25 days of October. The average daily gaming revenue from October 20 to 25 was about MOP 592 million, 3% lower than about MOP 613 million from October 12 to 19, and 2% lower than MOP 602 million in September 2026, indicating that the weakness indicated earlier by the bank still persists. According to industry sources, the average gaming revenue trend from October to today means a year-on-year decline of about 10%. The bank lowered its gaming revenue forecast for October 2026 from MOP 23 billion to MOP 21.5 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 11%.
UBS believes that the recent slowdown in gaming revenue performance appears to be hampered by low VIP room win rates and weak demand for high-end gaming. Since the beginning of the month, the average daily revenue of midfielders has increased 14% to 17% month-on-month, and the average daily revenue from VIP club betting amounts has increased 15% to 18% month-on-month; the VIP club win rate has been 2.9% to 3.2%, compared to 3% last week. The bank expects the base effect it faced in November to remain severe.
