05:45 AM EDT, 10/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Swedish private equity giant EQT (EQT.ST), Norway's Norges Bank, and French investment firm Ardian have dropped their binding offers for Acciona Energía (ANE.MC), Spanish digital newspaper El Confidencial reported Wednesday. Sources close to the deal told the newspaper that the three finalists withdrew from the bidding race because of the renewable energy company's 10 billion-euro valuation and financing difficulties. Acciona Energía, EQT, Ardian, and Norges Bank did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
