Positive Signs As Multiple Insiders Buy SenesTech Stock
Share
Listen to the news

When a single insider purchases stock, it is typically not a major deal. However, when multiple insiders purchase stock, like in SenesTech, Inc.'s (NASDAQ:SNES) instance, it's good news for shareholders.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At SenesTech

Notably, that recent purchase by Justin LeBeau is the biggest insider purchase of SenesTech shares that we've seen in the last year. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, even at a higher price than the current share price (being US$0.84). It's very possible they regret the purchase, but it's more likely they are bullish about the company. In our view, the price an insider pays for shares is very important. As a general rule, we feel more positive about a stock if insiders have bought shares at above current prices, because that suggests they viewed the stock as good value, even at a higher price.

Over the last year, we can see that insiders have bought 300.77k shares worth US$234k. But they sold 63.00 shares for US$171. Overall, SenesTech insiders were net buyers during the last year. Their average price was about US$0.78. These transactions show that insiders have confidence to invest their own money in the stock, albeit at slightly below the recent price.
