09:16 AM EDT, 10/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BofA Global Research maintained its rating on BNP Paribas (BNP.PA) after the French banking group delivered "solid" third-quarter results, with net profit exceeding expectations. The group's net profit reached 3.46 billion euros in the quarter, beating consensus by 2%, while revenue grew 9% year over year to 13.78 billion euros, the research firm said Wednesday. "BNPP raised its 2026 CET1 target to [over] 13% and provided detail into their cost efficiency programme, targeting EUR4bn of net cost savings over 2027-30, of which c.EUR2.4bn to come from support functions. We maintain Buy on BNPP as the levers to deliver a turnaround ROTE at [more than] 14% in 2028 and [greater than] 15% in 2030 are in motion and upside to capital return," BofA analysts said, noting that the group is set to launch a 1.3 billion-euro share buyback program in November 2026. The stock's price objective stands at 130 euros.
