SEATTLE, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Interaction Group is pleased to share its recent collaboration with American Airlines to redesign the airline's passenger safety briefing cards across its fleet—bringing a fresh, passenger-focused approach to one of the most important tools onboard.

American Airlines A321XLR Safety Card

At the heart of the redesign is a shared belief: safety information should be clear, intuitive, and easy to understand, especially when passengers need it most. The updated safety cards combine modern visual design with aircraft-specific accuracy and extensive passenger-comprehension testing to help travelers quickly find and understand critical safety information, regardless of age, language, or travel experience.

"For more than 55 years, our work has centered on helping passengers better understand their role in safety," said Trisha Ferguson, CEO of The Interaction Group. "Working alongside American Airlines on this project was a meaningful opportunity to evolve safety communication in a way that supports passengers while meeting the highest operational and regulatory standards."

The project was developed through close collaboration between The Interaction Group and American Airlines' safety, inflight, and brand teams. Together, the teams ensured each card accurately reflects the unique features of each aircraft while maintaining a consistent look and feel across the fleet. The redesigned cards were evaluated using The Interaction Group's established comprehension testing to help ensure passengers can quickly locate, process, and retain essential safety information.

The updated passenger safety briefing cards are now being introduced across the American Airlines fleet, enhancing the onboard experience and reinforcing the airline's ongoing commitment to passenger safety.
