DENVER (AP) — DENVER (AP) — Frontier Group Holdings Inc. (ULCC) on Wednesday reported a loss of $104 million in its third quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Denver-based company said it had a loss of 45 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 18 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 2 cents per share.

The discount airline posted revenue of $1.36 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.3 billion.

For the current quarter ending in December, Frontier Group expects its results to range from a loss of 15 cents per share to earnings of 5 cents per share.
