Why I would buy and hold these top ASX growth shares
Share
Listen to the news

I think the Australian share market is home to some outstanding ASX growth shares, and several still have plenty of opportunities ahead of them despite their success to date.

Three in particular stand out to me as businesses that I would be happy to own for many years.

Here's why I believe they could be excellent long-term investments.

Goodman Group (ASX: GMG)

Goodman is increasingly a way to invest in the shortage of suitable data centre sites, not just demand for warehouses.

Building a data centre requires more than land. Operators need large, reliable electricity connections in locations close to their customers, and securing those connections can take years. Goodman has spent years assembling sites with access to power in major cities.

At the end of June, data centres represented 78% of its $19.7 billion development work in progress. That's a substantial amount of work capable of generating development earnings as projects are completed, alongside future property investment and management income.

I like that this opportunity is already visible in its financial results.

Thanks partly to a growing contribution from data centre developments, FY 2026 operating profit rose 15.7%. Looking ahead, Goodman is targeting 9% operating earnings per share growth in FY 2027.

Life360 Inc (ASX: 360)

Life360's family safety app has an enormous audience. In the June quarter, monthly active users rose 16% to 102.4 million.

The good news is that its paying customer base is growing even faster. It revealed that paying family groups increased 27% to 3.2 million, while average revenue per paying group also rose 5%.

This helped subscription revenue jump 31% during the quarter.

I believe there is plenty more growth to come as Life360 encourages more families to take out paid subscriptions for additional safety features.

With more than 100 million people already using its app each month, I think the company has an enormous opportunity to grow its subscription business and become significantly more profitable over the next five years.

Pro Medicus Ltd (ASX: PME)

Pro Medicus is another ASX growth share I'd happily hold for years. Its Visage software helps doctors view and analyse medical scans, and hospitals are increasingly choosing it to replace older systems.

What encourages me is the evidence that customers want to stay. In FY 2026, Pro Medicus signed 10 new contracts worth at least $407 million and renewed all six agreements due for renewal, worth another $141 million.

Its underlying EBIT margin reached 74.9%, demonstrating how successfully additional software revenue can translate into profit.

And with opportunities in cardiology, digital pathology and artificial intelligence (AI), I don't think its growth story is close to finished.

Its shares are expensive, but I believe its contract momentum and exceptional profitability make Pro Medicus an excellent candidate for a long-term investment.
