05:53 AM EDT, 10/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- National Grid plc (NG.L) is set to make an up to 400 million-pound-sterling investment in Interconnexion France-Angleterre, or IFA, the subsea electricity link between Great Britain and France. The investment will support the continued operation of the interconnector until at least 2050, according to a Thursday release. Work will include upgrades to essential technical equipment, buildings and facilities at the site. The British utility co-owns IFA with France's electricity transmission system operator RTE.
