On a per-share basis, the Maple Plain, Minnesota-based company said it had profit of 48 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, were 63 cents per share.

The custom parts manufacturer posted revenue of $154.3 million in the period.

For the current quarter ending in December, Proto Labs expects its per-share earnings to range from 46 cents to 54 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $143 million to $151 million for the fiscal fourth quarter.
