06:56 AM EDT, 10/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Three bodies were recovered following the sinking of Borr Drilling's (BORR.OL) Prospector 5 rig off Gabon, while the search continues for two people still missing, Reuters reported Thursday. Gabonese Navy Chief of Staff Charles Hubert Bekale-Meyong said the bodies were found by remotely operated robots during underwater inspections, but the images are not clear enough to identify them. The rig, carrying 115 people, sank off Gabon on Oct. 24 during jacking operations ahead of a planned drilling campaign for BW Energy (BWE.OL). Borr Drilling did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
