Lectra shares closed at €18.24 on 29 October, capping a rough stretch with the stock down about 11% over three months as fresh Q3 2026 results hit the tape. The focus is on earnings power. Basic earnings per share came in at €0.27 for the quarter, supported by €121.6m in revenue. The latest forecasts point to earnings growth that runs ahead of expected sales expansion.
Short-term traders see a tired chart. Long-term holders are now weighing that earnings profile against a 26.1x P/E and a material gap to the stated discounted cash flow value.

Optimists argue Lectra can use its installed base and new platforms to tilt the mix toward richer recurring streams.
"The installed base of more than 9,000 connected Lectra machines, 5,000 older non IoT machines and thousands of third party machines creates a long runway for Valia adoption. This can lift SaaS revenue and increase the share of higher margin recurring business over time."
Q3 shows the earnings engine holding up with basic EPS at €0.27 and net income excluding extra items at €9.9m while revenue is broadly flat. That pattern fits a mix shift story where software, maintenance and efficiencies such as remote servicing support profitability even when equipment demand is not strong.
On the other side, critics worry that weak demand and slow Valia conversion could challenge that recurring thesis.
"Lectra’s markets in fashion, automotive and furniture are currently described as stable at best, with sluggish furniture demand and equipment orders down 17% in 2025 and 19% for equipment specifically, so a prolonged period of subdued customer investment could keep non recurring revenue and overall earnings under pressure."
Q3 revenue of €121.6m is essentially unchanged year on year, which fits a backdrop of hesitant customer capex. Yet net income excluding extra items and EPS both advance sharply. That mix of flat sales and stronger profitability points to cost control and recurring streams offsetting some pressure rather than a clear deterioration in earnings power.
