Elevra Lithium Limited (ASX:ELV) Analysts Are More Bearish Than They Used To Be
Share
Listen to the news

Today is shaping up negative for Elevra Lithium Limited (ASX:ELV) shareholders, with the analysts delivering a substantial negative revision to this year's forecasts. Both revenue and earnings per share (EPS) estimates were cut sharply as analysts factored in the latest outlook for the business, concluding that they were too optimistic previously.

Following the downgrade, the current consensus from Elevra Lithium's four analysts is for revenues of US$275m in 2027 which - if met - would reflect a huge 36% increase on its sales over the past 12 months. Statutory earnings per share are presumed to surge 39% to US$0.31. Before this latest update, the analysts had been forecasting revenues of US$383m and earnings per share (EPS) of US$0.61 in 2027. It looks like analyst sentiment has declined substantially, with a pretty serious reduction to revenue estimates and a large cut to earnings per share numbers as well.

ASX:ELV Earnings and Revenue Growth October 29th 2026

The consensus price target fell 11% to AU$11.31, with the weaker earnings outlook clearly leading analyst valuation estimates.

Looking at the bigger picture now, one of the ways we can make sense of these forecasts is to see how they measure up against both past performance and industry growth estimates. It's pretty clear that there is an expectation that Elevra Lithium's revenue growth will slow down substantially, with revenues to the end of 2027 expected to display 36% growth on an annualised basis. This is compared to a historical growth rate of 46% over the past five years. By way of comparison, the other companies in this industry with analyst coverage are forecast to grow their revenue at 5.9% annually. Even after the forecast slowdown in growth, it seems obvious that Elevra Lithium is also expected to grow faster than the wider industry.

The Bottom Line

The most important thing to take away is that analysts cut their earnings per share estimates, expecting a clear decline in business conditions. Unfortunately, analysts also downgraded their revenue estimates, although our data indicates revenues are expected to perform better than the wider market. Given the scope of the downgrades, it would not be a surprise to see the market become more wary of the business.

With that said, the long-term trajectory of the company's earnings is a lot more important than next year. We have estimates - from multiple Elevra Lithium analysts - going out to 2029, and you can see them free on our platform here.
