The Green Bay, Wisconsin-based company said it had profit of 28 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 29 cents per share.

The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 29 cents per share.

The trucking company posted revenue of $1.59 billion in the period, beating Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.58 billion.

Schneider National expects full-year earnings in the range of $1 to $1.10 per share.
