01:12 AM EDT, 10/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Rio Tinto Group (RIO.L) temporarily suspended underground operations at the Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold mine in Mongolia after a seismic event injured three employees. The mining company said Friday that seismic activity along a rock fault zone on Thursday caused ground vibrations in the underground mine. Underground operations will remain paused until a safety review is complete.
