03:11 AM EDT, 10/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Erste Group (EBS.VI) logged 1.12 billion euros in net result attributable to owners of the parent for the third quarter, compared with 901.1 million euros a year ago. EPS moved to 2.74 euros from 2.20 euros year over year, according to a Friday filing. For the three months ended Sept. 30, operating income was 4.07 billion euros versus 2.92 billion euros previously, the Austrian lender said. Analysts polled by FactSet were expecting 4 billion euros in sales, 1.08 billion euros in net income, and 2.70 euros in EPS. For full-year 2026, Erste forecasts over 20% EPS growth based on 2025 net profit adjusted for one-off items, compared with the reported 2026 net profit. Meanwhile, net interest income is expected to increase by more than 6%, up from the prior estimate of 5%.
