Honeywell Aerospace is spending $500 million on the 300,000-square-foot manufacturing plant, near its current site in Tempe.

The company plans to break ground on the facility early next year, with completion slated for late 2028. When complete, the facility will include an integrated digital production system, modular robotics, automated inspection, digital twins, and will be powered by an end-to-end digital thread. The facility will support Honeywell Aerospace’s largest commercial and defense customers and most advanced products.

Honeywell’s new Tempe facility will create 600 new jobs, and construction of the building is estimated to support 1,000 local jobs.

Honeywell Aerospace is Arizona’s second-largest defense contractor. The company employs nearly 9,000 people in the metro area. It operates seven offices and manufacturing plants around the Phoenix area.
