Europris walked into its Q3 2026 report with a stock that had drifted lower in recent weeks, including a fresh 1 day slip to NOK79.6 by Friday’s close. The headline was simple enough. Revenue landed at NOK3.5b with basic earnings per share at NOK0.79, and the quarter came with a clear earnings wobble versus the bumper summer run rate.
The more interesting story sits in the emotional gap between that cool set of numbers and a market that already looked cautious. Short term traders focused on the softer quarter. Longer term holders will be weighing that reaction against solid trailing profits and a relatively low P/E multiple.
Love the relatively low P/E on Europris but concerned that a softer quarter could be a value trap rather than an entry point? Compare it with our 199 high quality undervalued stocks.

The bullish pitch is that tighter assortments and remodels will steadily push Sweden toward better profitability and cash generation.
"The large-scale ÖoB store remodeling program, with 28 stores already upgraded and 40 to 45 remodels planned annually in 2026 and 2027, is already linked to higher sales and slightly better gross margins in refurbished stores. This may lift group revenue and EBIT as more of the chain is converted."
Q3 gives partial support. Nonfood at ÖoB rose 9% in the quarter and gross margin improved by about 1.2 percentage points. Yet EBIT still showed a wider loss of NOK50m as remodel OpEx climbed almost 10%. The program is shifting mix but not yet delivering profit uplift.
Bears worry that heavy Swedish spending might not translate into the EBIT and free cash flow that Europris is targeting by 2028.
"The Swedish investment cycle is heavy, with each remodeled ÖoB store linked to lost sales during closures, reduced gross profit from pre-closing clearance, and higher OpEx on top of fixture CapEx. If these combined cash outflows are not offset by stronger post-remodel revenue and gross margin, Europris could see weaker free cash flow and pressure on future earnings growth."
Recent numbers lean toward that concern. Q3 ÖoB sales in local currency inched up 1.3% and margins improved. Yet the segment still reported a NOK157m EBIT loss for 9M and a deeper loss in Q3 as remodel costs and closures diluted the benefit.

Europris reported a softer quarter that met a cautious market and sentiment shifted quickly. The real opportunity sits in studying stocks that may be mispriced before any repricing appears.
