Harvia Oyj walked into Q3 2026 earnings with a tired chart, the share price down double digits over the last month, and investors already questioning a premium P/E near 24x. The headline today is not about a miss or a blowout. It is about a deliberate margin squeeze as management focuses on growth.
Revenue for the quarter came in at €53.9m and adjusted operating profit reached €9.5m, while the stock closed at €37.9. That one day reaction looks more like a mood swing than a clean read on what these sauna economics are really indicating.
Love Harvia Oyj’s push for growth but uneasy about the intentional margin squeeze at a premium P/E? Take a look at our list of solid balance sheet and fundamentals stocks (202 results).
Earnings tell you what Harvia Oyj booked this quarter, but cash flows show what the business actually generates and how firmly that supports the current share price.
Looking at Harvia Oyj's cash flows alone, the stock could be a hefty 41% undervalued.
Bulls argue Harvia Oyj can turn North American scale, HOT execution and channel expansion into durable, high quality cash generation.
"The main thing that has to go right is that Harvia converts current North American sauna cabin growth, ongoing IT and automation upgrades, and channel expansion into durable, high quality cash flows without sustained margin pressure from product mix or regional disruptions."
Q3 shows early proof of that conversion. All regions posted double digit top line growth and the Lewisburg expansion is underway. The HOT upgrade in Finland is live and clearing delayed orders. Adjusted EBIT margin of 17.7% sits below the long term target above 20%. However, gross margin held near historical levels, which suggests the growth push is not eroding product level economics so far.
One Narrative has put a figure on that disagreement. → See the Narrative with its higher Fair Value, assumptions and all.
Bears worry Harvia Oyj’s growth projects keep tripping over their own complexity and leave earnings bumpier than the story implies.
"While Harvia Oyj is investing in expanding capacity in Lewisburg and upgrading processes in Muurame, any further disruption similar to the recent IT transition that delayed roughly €4 million of heater shipments risks recurring bottlenecks that push revenue and gross profit out of expected periods and add volatility to earnings."
The Muurame IT upgrade is now live and clearing backlog, so the feared repeat disruption is not visible. Yet the bearish narrative is not fully disproven. Q3 adjusted EBIT margin at 17.7%, or 18.9% excluding the North America reclassification, still sits below the above 20% long term mark. The print confirms a real, management led margin give up to keep the capacity and channel build moving.
Harvia Oyj just showed how growth choices and margin tradeoffs can pull a stock away from simple headline reads. The real opportunity is finding companies that could be undervalued before more investors connect those dots.
