Binance began a phased resumption of withdrawals on Sunday, more than two days after hackers attempted to transfer more than $6 billion of funds from the cryptocurrency exchange, leading to the largest cyber theft in history. The world's largest digital asset platform suspended related transactions in Asia on Friday morning after disclosing security flaws. The company said on social media platforms that the first phase of withdrawals began at around 2 p.m. Singapore time, and the first to resume was Bitcoin withdrawals. The first batch will include withdrawals of 15 tokens, including Ether, as well as the two largest stablecoins, Tether's USDT and Circle Internet Group's USDC. “We're taking a phased approach to prioritizing tokens based on the past week's user demand data to carefully restore each network and asset pair and complete stability and security checks before reopening access.” Binance said.
