Melania Trump commented on the Oreshki cease-fire in post X: The cease-fire agreement is over. The mission was successful, delivering critical aid to the region and contributing to the evacuation of nearly 800 people. On behalf of the United States, I commend Russia and Ukraine for their leadership and cooperation in the Oreshki cease-fire agreement. I hope Oreshki will be the foundation for lasting peace between the two countries. The cease-fire agreement began on October 27, 2026, and will end on November 1, 2026 as planned.
