The Zhitong Finance App learned that Citibank released a research report saying that Macau's gambling revenue in October 2026 was 21.68 billion patacas, down 10% year on year, which is roughly in line with the bank's estimate of 21.5 billion patacas and market expectations of 21.7 billion patacas; the bank lowered its November gambling revenue forecast from MOP 21 billion to MOP 20.5 billion, which means a 3% year-on-year decline.

Gambling revenue in October was equivalent to about MOP 699 million per day, or about 82% of October 2019's level. The bank pointed out that according to industry sources, the implied daily gambling revenue rate for the last 6 days of October was about 672 million patacas, which is about 11% higher than the operating rate of about MOP 604 million from October 12 to 25. The bank is encouraged by the improvement in operating rates at the end of the month, and remains cautiously optimistic that gamer gambling will gradually resume after China's offshore tax issues; the main events in November include W Gala at the Galaxy Arena and “2026: Return of the Super Song Singers” at the Venetian Coliseum, which may provide additional support for visitors to Australia.

However, the bank is still conservative, due to the 33rd APEC Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders' Meeting held in Shenzhen from November 18 to 19, or a brief diversion of gaming demand; according to the above forecast, November gambling revenue was equivalent to a daily operating rate of about MOP 683 million.
