05:18 AM EST, 11/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, or MUFG, established a universal bank in the European Union on Monday, according to a same-day release. The Japanese financial services group merged its European subsidiary MUFG Securities into MUFG Bank, its other European unit, to form an integrated securities and banking business. The group announced plans for a universal bank on Jan. 8.
