05:24 AM EST, 11/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Telia (TELIA.ST, TELIA1.HE) and Ericsson (ERIBR.HE, ERIC-A.ST) launched 6G field trials in Sweden under a new joint roadmap for developing the technology in the country. The trials will evaluate 6G signal performance, uplink capacity, reliability and latency using the Swedish telecom gear maker's pre-standard 6G capabilities in the upper 6-gigahertz frequency band, according to a Monday release. The trials are the Nordic region's first major 6G test, ahead of the technology's expected commercial launch between 2030 and 2032.
