The Zhitong Finance App learned that Yikatong Technology Holdings (ECX.US), a global automotive intelligence full-stack solution company, today announced the signing of a non-binding memorandum of cooperation with Arm. The two sides will use this to establish a cooperative framework to jointly explore and develop next-generation high-performance AI computing platforms for the travel field and cross-industry scenarios.
According to the memorandum of understanding, the two sides will carry out system-level joint engineering development, covering architecture definition, performance tuning, software adaptation, functional safety, tool chain and network security verification, and simultaneously promote industrial ecosystem co-construction. The two sides will refine customized solutions for the Chinese and global markets, and expand physical AI cross-industry applications such as AI terminals in addition to travel scenarios. Arm will act as a core partner to support Yigatong Technology in creating computational solutions for high-complexity physical AI computing power loads.
In fact, the two sides have previously cooperated through Xinqing Technology. Among them, Xinqing Technology's 7nm automotive-grade smart cockpit chip “Dragon Eagle 1” has been mass-produced, with cumulative shipments exceeding one million levels. Currently, the next-generation 5nm vehicle-grade AI cabin driver fusion chip “Dragon Eagle 2” is under development.
Shen Ziyu, CEO of Yigatong Technology, said that based on the implementation results of Xinqing Technology, Yigatong Technology has established a stable cooperation system with Arm; as the automotive industry moves into the “AI defines the automobile” era, this cooperation will accelerate the construction of a high-performance physical AI computing platform adapted to the global market, combine the Arm computing platform with Yigatong Technology's full-stack technical capabilities to create high-performance computing solutions that can be mass-produced for the next generation of smart cars, and explore cross-industry implementation opportunities. The two teams will promote joint technology route planning and collaborative engineering development. Drew Henry, executive vice president of ARM Physics AI, said that physical AI requires collaboration in computation, software and security at the design stage, and the two sides are expected to open up new paths to help AI define automobiles and autonomous systems to achieve high-performance and energy-efficient computation.
