08:03 AM EST, 11/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Aberdeen Group's (ABDN.L) investment business Aberdeen Investments appointed IP Group (IPO.L) to manage a UK venture growth portfolio within the CG Scottish Widows Growth LTAF. The fund is among the first UK pension schemes to actively put members' capital into UK venture growth, according to a Monday release. Aberdeen Investments manages the growth sub-fund for Scottish Widows, according to a Monday filing. In addition, science and technology-focused investor IP Group, Scottish Widows and Aberdeen Investments made the first investments through the fund, which will be deployed across areas of "strategic importance" to the UK, including quantum computing, advanced battery technology and artificial intelligence-enabled healthcare.
