02:05 AM EST, 11/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Biotalys (BTLS.BR) secured approval for large-scale commercial field trials for its protein-based biofungicide, Evoca NG, in the Netherlands, the Belgium-based agricultural technology company said Tuesday. The approval by the Dutch Board for the Authorisation of Plant Protection Products and Biocides allows commercial trials by growers on up to 150 hectares of tomatoes, 150 hectares of cucumbers, and 50 hectares of strawberries. Under the trials, the biofungicide will be evaluated to control fungal diseases, Botrytis, and powdery mildew.
