The Racine, Wisconsin-based company said it had profit of 56 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for pretax expenses and non-recurring costs, came to $1.35 per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.55 per share.

The heating and cooling products maker posted revenue of $994.4 million in the period, beating Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $974.6 million.

Modine expects full-year revenue in the range of $3.1 billion to $3.2 billion.
