PETALING JAYA: Hong Leong Bank Bhd’s (HLB) RM100mil senior medium-term notes (MTN), carrying an interest rate of 4.07%, matured yesterday.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the bank said that the notes were issued on Nov 3, 2023, as the first tranche under its RM10bil multi-currency MTN programme.

The notes had a three-year tenure, with coupon payments made semi-annually in arrears from the date of issue, according to HLB’s annual report.

Proceeds from the issuance were earmarked for working capital, general banking and other corporate purposes, as well as refinancing existing financing obligations where required, it said.
